I adore CBT

In the wake of Lynn Gilderdale’s death, one would have expected an
editorial in the BMJ to acknowledge the devastating effects of severe ME,
and try to lead the way forward to find proper treatment and hopefully a
cure. 

One would have expected that such an editorial would mention the fact
that ME has been classified by the WHO as a neurological illness since
1969. A fact that most doctors, including myself before I fell ill, are
not aware of. 

Most doctors are led to believe, by a small group of psychiatrists,
that this illness, either doesn't exist, or is based on false illness
believes, and is all in the mind. That the psychiatrist changed the name
20 years ago from ME in CFS, and then changed the criteria, is just a
small detail. 

The basis of CBT for ME/CFS is fantastic. First, you blame the
patient for his illness, and then when CBT doesn't cure him, you blame him
for not being motivated. When I'm fit and well again, I will use this same
principle when I see a patient with for example, a severe infection. If
the antibiotic I have prescribed, doesn't solve the problem, then I will
blame the patient. That the culture has shown that I prescribed the wrong
treatment, is something I will ignore.

According to the three psychiatrists, CBT and GET are super
treatments for ME. Lynn at one stage, couldn't swallow anymore, to
brighten up her life even more. Her doctor then had the choice to treat
swallowing problems, with the so fancied behavioural therapy, i.e. CBT, or
with exercise therapy, also called GET, the other psychiatric favourite.
Luckily, Lynn's treating doctor inserted a tube, so she could be tube fed.
Although I agree with the psychiatrists that CBT is best.

You might still think that ME doesn't exist, or, that it is all in
the mind, and continue to be incredibly hostile to your ME patients.
However, you might be next and become an ME patient as well, just like
myself and many others. And I can assure you, you will be in for a big
shock, and at the same time, you will also find that this illness has got
nothing to with what you have been reading in your magazines, written by
CBT psychiatrists. So hip hip hooray for CBT, because who needs proper
treatment for a severe and very disabling illness anyway?

Min alldeles egna sirapslimpaeftwr

Tester av andras recept.
Så har jag gjort en sirapslimpa.
Tycker andras limpor blivit trista grova bröd mest.

Så detta är helt mitt eget.

Du behöver:
Hushållsassistent
Ugnstermometer 
Våg
Jäst
Salt
Filmjölk
Pofiber
Guarnkärnmjöl (finns på tex bodyshop och ibland apotea. Viktig ingrediens!)
Xantangummi . Finns i välsorterade mataffärer. Ofta Ica maxi mm. Även på internet)

Strösocker
Mörk sirap
Röd finax mjölmix
Olivolja
Bakpulver
Ett ägg


Hushållsassistent:

1/3 paket  jäst
0.75 dl mörk sirap 
1 msk socker
1 tsk salt

Rör ihop litegrann med en sked

Värm 4 dl filmjölk till 37grader
Häll det över jästgeggan

Häll i 0.5 dl pofiber. Rör runt

Ha i 2 msk olivolja eller annan matolja 


Nu tar du fram hushållsvåg

Ställ bunke på vågen. Nollställ med bunke på
och häll i mjölmix.

450 gram. Helst varken mer eller mindre.
Väg alltid!!

I den blandningen (i bunken du vägde mjölet i) :har du nu i

En knivsudd - alltså Max ett halvt kryddmått typ- Xantangummi 

0.5 tsk guarnkärnmjöl 
Och 0.5 tsk bakpulver

Rör om så allt blandar sig i mjölet.


Häll nu ner allt i den bunken ner i bunken i Hushållsassistenten.
Kör igång lite så det börjar blanda sig
Stanna och skrapa ner mjöl som packar sig längs kanterna.

När det blandat sig ordentligt så kör du på ganska hög hastighet i minst 5 minuter

Medans den rör så tar du fram plåt och bakplåtspapper 

Slaffsa ut den sega tjocka smeten till en enda klump på bakplåtspapperet
Forma klumpen med en sked eller slickepott doppad i kallt vatten.
Doppa, platta, doppa, forma.
Inte så noga men ja , till en bulle.


Stick lite hål i den.

Strö över lite mjöl,
Lägg på ett bakplåtspapper 
Täck med en handduk
Låt jäsa i 40 minuter 

Sätt på ugnen på vanlig under-övervärde på 190 grader

När den jäst klart:

Stick några fler hål i brödet 
Knäck ägget i en skål och vispa ihop det med en gaffel eller visp.
Pensla äggblandningen utanpå brödet

Sätt nu in termometern i mitten på brödet
Har du digital så ställ den på 96 grader

Nu in i ugnen. Inte allra längst ner men näst längst ner

Det brukar ta ungefär 40 min att få den upp till 96 grader i innertemperatur 

Ta ut den nu härliga brödlimpan

Låt den svalna- helst nästan helt- innan du skär den, under bakduk


Skär i skivor och frys gärna in den direkt sen och ta fram skiva för
Skiva. Men den håller sig någon dag rätt ok i försluten påse.
Bästa sättet att Tina är långsamt framme på bänken bara.
Eller på väldigt svag värme i ugnen.

Voilà!
